Boys or no Boys

I talked to A last night about this trip. He has always assumed he is not invited, and actually thinks that's kind of cool. He said he likes the idea that I want to go be adventurous with my girls.

Here's the thing. I have been dreaming about our "farewell to youth" trip, where we can be as girly and just plain SOC as we want for years. I don't want Ajay to come. Every other trip I ever take in my life, he's welcome, but this one is supposed to be just the SOC. I might call him every night, and sure I'll miss him, but...I don't know. Our group dynamics are different when there are men around. If men are invited, it's a whole different vacation.

New subjects.
Egypt is mostly desert, right? I'm not a fan of deserts. Everything there bites, even the plants. I'm thinking someplace relaxing and super green. How about Jamaica? Z- when you say "culturally" what exactly does that entail? Definitely museums and old stuff, or could it be native dance and wandering streets of villages?

Haven't read the referenced author...or even, I am shamed to admit, anything "Sharpe". Anyone care to loan me books?

I haven't read anything Sharpe either. It's ok. But you MUST read Elizabeth Peters, cause she's rather hilarious and the men are quite hot.

I too am a fan of the all-girl vacation. I think it would be really fun to be just us. In some ways a final fling, as GS has put it.

Besides, who ever heard of a novel where a bunch of girlfriends go on vacation with one husband along?
